Project summary

The company PROGMATA TECHNOLOGIES D.O.O., together with partners MB VISION d.o.o. and MACK LIFT d.o.o., is implementing a project "MackHome - Innovative Smart Home Lift Solution", reference number 2025-SPA2-096, in accordance with the project application submitted under the program "EmBRACE (Enhancing MSEs sustainaBle gRowth And CompEtitiveness)" which is conducted under Interreg VI-A IPA Croatia – Bosnia and Herzegovina – Montenegro 2021-2027 and is under the jurisdiction of the Croatian Agency for Small Business, Innovation and Investment; HAMAG BICRO.

The project addresses a shared challenge across Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro: the need for compact and energy-efficient home lift solutions for buildings where standard elevators are not feasible. The objective is to establish a common cross-border solution that combines mechanical lift development, construction and installation expertise, and integrated electronics, software and smart control systems. Through coordinated development, integration and testing, the project will deliver a fully functional and market-ready smart home lift prototype designed for safe operation, monitoring and energy optimisation, while providing an adaptable lift solution for such buildings.

Enhancing sustainable growth and competitiveness of SMEs and job creation in SMEs, including by productive investments.

Main results of the project

Through the project activities, a jointly developed and market-ready smart home lift solution will be established. The solution will combine a compact and energy-efficient mechanical lift system with integrated electronics, software and smart control functions for safety, monitoring and energy optimisation, together with construction and installation solutions adapted to buildings where standard elevators are not feasible.

In this way, the project will contribute to the following indicators:

1. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) introducing product or process innovation
2. Solutions taken up or up-scaled by organizations
3. Pilot actions developed jointly and implemented in projects
4. Jointly developed solutions

Expected results of the project

The project will deliver a jointly developed and validated MackHome smart home lift solution, integrating the mechanical lift system, electronics, software and smart control features. The solution will be designed for installation in buildings where standard elevators are not feasible and will be jointly tested and demonstrated by the three partners through cross-border development and testing. The joint testing and validation will focus on safe operation, compact installation and energy-efficient performance, providing the basis for the further uptake and market introduction of the developed solution.

Project Activity:

Development and implementation of the MackHome smart home lift solution - The project includes joint design and development of a compact, energy-efficient home lift, development of the mechanical system and prototype, development and integration of electronics, software and smart control systems, and adaptation of construction and installation processes for use in older buildings. All three partners jointly develop, test and validate the solution with the aim of achieving a fully functional and market-ready prototype. The workplan is supported by project management, reporting, communication and promotional activities.

Sustainability of the project

The sustainability of the project results will be ensured through the establishment of joint collaboration among all three partners during the post-project phase, specifically through the continued application and further market deployment of the developed solution. Each partner will be responsible for a specific segment in the development and implementation of the developed solution, according to their expertise. MB VISION d.o.o. will contribute knowledge related to construction and installation processes, especially in older buildings; MACK LIFT d.o.o. will be responsible for the mechanical system and further development of the lift solution; while PROGMATA TECHNOLOGIES d.o.o. will be responsible for electronics, software and smart control systems. The partners will use the jointly developed know-how and validated solution as a basis for commercialisation and future adaptations to market needs.
